STEM Outreach

The Kummer Institute and Missouri S&T are working to support and mentor the next generation of STEM leaders. The Kummer Center for STEM Education was established in 2021 to help create broad outreach and engagement to and with K–12 communities to improve access to outstanding STEM education.

  • Developing the next generation of STEM leaders

    The Kummer Center for STEM Education launched “Miners in the Making,” an after‑school program for three Phelps County school districts. Thanks to grant funding through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, this program is free for families.
