  • Five years of transformation

Dear friends, This Oct. 9 marks the five-year anniversary of the historic $300 million gift from June and Fred Kummer to Missouri S&T. The gift has obviously reshaped our campus. From my office in Straumanis-James Hall, I see the Missouri Protoplex rising beyond the green pedestrian bridge over I-44. To my right, renovations are underway…

Missouri S&T is grateful for the leadership and dedication of those who have served on the Kummer Missouri S&T Foundation Board of Directors for the past five years.

The Kummer Missouri S&T Foundation Board of Directors is responsible for fiduciary management of the $300 million gift from Fred and June Kummer to Missouri S&T in 2020. A group of prominent engineers and scientists, as well as university leaders, serve as members who oversee investments of funds from the gift and establish budgetary guidelines and policy. They serve three‑year terms with the possibility of one renewal.
